The removal tool supports your macOS device, including iMac, iMac Pro, Mac Mini, MacBook Air, Mac Mini Pro, and MacBook Pro. Mac os extended journaled format. Supported Mac models list: 2018 or newer model of MacBook Pro; 2018 or later model of MacBook Air. Hi Folks, I am new to the Mac world, and have a mac mini OS X 10.4.2 and I am trying to set up my M-box with Pro Tools 6.0. Everything installed just fine with the exception of the fact that when I try to enable a track to record, I get a message along the lines of 'this volume is not enabled.

thinking about maybe switching to a mini later this year depending on what the new ones offer when they're announced...

If that's what you are planning, wait till they are announced to be in the channel to find out what the mileage is like. You never know what new compatibility issues might arise. Remember with each new release, no Mac can run an older Mac operating system than shipped with it. So any experience we give here today may be vastly different from what you might run into in the future.
Then if people's mileage is not what you want, and it is better on the old, get a refurbished model*:

Note, most Mac Mini users are not running Pro Tools. If you want Pro Tools experience of today, it is better to ask in the Mac Mini forum. If you like, I can ask a moderator to move this thread.

Mac Mini And Pro Tools

Hi Folks,
I am new to the Mac world, and have a mac mini OS X 10.4.2 and I am trying to set up my M-box with Pro Tools 6.0.
Everything installed just fine with the exception of the fact that when I try to enable a track to record, I get a message along the lines of 'this volume is not enabled for audio' (not a direct quote).
I hav googled it and tried various things, i.e. verified permissions on my drives (tried both the internal HD and an external hd. Both are read-write enabled.
I shouldn't use the internal system drive for recording (when I tested it it gave me the above error) and my external also gives me the same error.
I am guessing that I should be using a firewire external drive instead of a usb.
Can any of you guys give some advise?
Many thanks!!!
